The FNB NMMU Madibaz finished their 2017 Varsity Cup campaign on a high, when they beat the FNB CUT at the CUT Rugby Stadium in Bloemfontien on Monday night.
The Port Elizabeth based University had a particularly difficult season as they had to play all their fixtures away from home due to upgrades being done to their stadium.
Having only managed one win in seven matches, against Ikeys in their first match, they travelled to Bloemfontein in hope of picking up another.
The visitors recovered from a slow first half as they added a further thirty points to their 10 - 0 half time lead to secure only their second win of the season, 40 - 14.
Madibaz eighthman, Justin Hollis picked up the FNB Player that Rocks award.
